The host Cliff Stewart, Lisa Stewart and Lamont Banks will be Shining a Spotlight on Capitol Hill & U.S. Senator John McCain, who was first elected to political office on November 2, 1982, easily winning a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives after his well-known war record helped overcome doubts about his "carpetbagger" status. He was re-elected in 1984 and in 1986, after the retirement of longtime Arizona senator and prominent Republican Barry Goldwater, McCain won election to the U.S. Senate.

The host Cliff Stewart, Lisa Stewart and Lamont Banks our AJC Radio Hosts will be discussing federal prison camps, which are considered "out-custody" facilities without fences or walls posing questions in regards to the wisdom of the federal government wasting billions of tax dollars of welfare-style appropriations for non-violent able-bodied men and women being housed at federal prison camps when home confinement with an ankle monitor can accomplish the same security and punitive objectives without the enormous financial and social costs.
